From the bride…

“Our style was based on our love of collected things (you should see our house). I describe my personal style as “granny chic,” so it was pretty easy to translate that into our wedding theme. I was raised by my grandmother, so I have an inherent love of doilies and milk glass. As for our color pallette, Matt had a heavy hand in picking aqua and orange. I showed him some inspiration photos, and he picked those two colors because he liked the fresh and summery look!”

It was a really fun bonding experience to troll through flea markets and thrift stores together. Each book, doily, vase, etc. is a memory that Matt and I share together everytime we look at them.”

“To cut on costs, we decided to go with many 10” round cakes instead of one large cake. Each cake was a different flavor that the guests were able to pick from. Everyone is still talking about our cakes!

As for our cake topper, we wanted something really personal, not personalized. Matt has forever been obsessed with space, astronauts, NASA, you name it. When thinking of something that would adequately embody Matt as a cake topper, the choice was pretty easy! An astronaut! As for me, I’m just flat out in love with pandas. For Harry Potter fans out there, a panda would definitely be my Patronus. So, I bought little figurines.”
